What’s Happening?

Each year, GFFP has numerous projects that Partners are working on to achieve our vision and goals. Based on meeting these objectives, the Partnership has developed a work plan for FY18. See: GFFP’s Work Plan FY 18

Highlights include:

Four Forest Restoration Initiative (4FRI): 

GFFP has secured two grants to assist in funding  an economic monitoring project. This project was initiated by the 4FRI Multi-Party Monitoring Board and is titled, “Regional Economic Contribution Analysis of 4FRI.”

Flagstaff Watershed Protection Project (FWPP):

GFFP updated the City of Flagstaff’s FWPP Monitoring Plan.

Fire Adapted Communities Learning Network (FACLN):

The Partnership is working on various new FACLN projects that include a smoke outreach campaign, a fire ecology kiosk at Ft Tuthill County Park and in developing a statewide learning network (AZFAC). See Upcoming Projects for more info.

We are also working on updating the Community Wildfire Protection Plan, GFFP’s Tretment Map and have secured a new cost-share grant to treat areas around Hart Prairie and behind Sechrist Elementary School off of Ft Valley Rd (Hwy 180).
